Hello, thanks for clicking. I'm going to begin with bullet points.

1. I moved into a property last year
2. This property was previously occupied by my boyfriend and his housemate
3. They lived in the property for 4 years together
4. My boyfriends house mate moved out in 2016 and I moved in, taking her place on the rental agreement.
5. I signed all the necessary paperwork to make it legal with the letting agent.
6. I asked for copies of the tenancy agreement and the inventory along with DPS info.
7. Only received tenancy agreement and DPS info
8. There was no check out inspection done when the housemate left, her deposit was fully returned.

So this question is about the inventory, I didn't sign one. My boyfriend and his old housemate have no recollection of signing one either. I have asked on numerous occasions for a copy of the inventory (as stated in the contact, one of the letting agents responsibilities is to provide one) I haven't been given one and I have been fobbed off with the following excuses:

1. It's being held somewhere that we don't have access to
2. Seen as you've been living in the property a while we are having issues locating one.

My issue: if there is no inventory should I be told that there is no inventory, what problems might this cause come us moving out, which we plan to do next year. Could I ask then to compile one now?
