hi,have been renting from this address for the last six years.the landlord has always fallen short of whats expected,i have stupidly endured however weve reached a critical point.under a month ago we got a new housemate and since then a very expensive bike has dissappeared from inside the house+a housemate has had his room broken into and expensive items stolen.police have been called and ive no doubt in time he will be arrested as hes very obvious.in the meantime am housebound as im sure he intends to loot the entire houshold and do a runner.can my landlord force an eviction in the absence of any rent or tenancy agreement, what can i do and can we claim the bike on the landlords insurance?(am already looking for a new house!)

can my landlord force an eviction in the absence of any rent or tenancy agreement - no
can we claim the bike on the landlords insurance - possibly, but it would be unusual for the landlord to arrange cover this generous.
