I have been reading a lot of surveys recently based around the change in demographic of tenants and how landlords need to adjust their focus from apartments aimed at  young, single professionals to rental accommodation suitable for families or larger households.

I wondered if anybody had any thoughts about this?

I've also found it interesting reading about the opinions of tenants' and the influence of this in securing future tenancy agreements.
I was actually pleasantly surprised that a survery by CIA Landlords Insurance found that 83% of tenants say their landlord is easy to get hold of, especially as this was identified as one of the top three most important landlord qualities.

You can see the rest of the results here: http://www.cia-landlords.co.uk/let-property-insurance-news/latest-news-story/nid/1671.aspx

It would be great to hear some thoughts on this

I - genuinely - do not have any thoughts on this... it appears to be really boring. Just but the properties you are comfortable with, yourself. Don't get hung-up on what others say.
