Advice please

Hi, was wondering if anyone could offer me any advice?
We moved into a rented house on 8th Oct 2012. According to our tenancy agreement we have an assured short-hold tenancy, which ends on 7th April 2013 and then I guess should just continue until we or the landlord give notice? Our landlord lives in Australia and 2 weeks ago the agent rang to say the landlord wants to sell and could we arrange for the estate agent to come in and value the property. We have received no written notice. It says in the tenancy agreement that during the last 2 months of the tenancy we must allow access to any agents and prospective buyers so long as we have 24 hrs written notice. My question is are we now entering the last 2 months of our tenancy or will that only be when the landlord has given notice? I'm not looking forward to having prospective buyers keep looking round the place! We are not very happy as we paid a lot in fees and would not of moved in had we known it was only for 6 months. We have been looking for somewhere else so we can give notice and leave on 8th April but we need a 4 bedroom and they are few and far between in our area. Although I totally understand that this is not our house we are very disappointed as we hoped to stay here until we were able to buy. Any advice on letting agents and viewers in would be helpful.
