Hi all

I'm wondering if anyone else has had recent experience of registering a new lease plus floor plan, and what the likely time is for the whole process. I thought it was supposed to take only five working days, but is now approaching the two week mark with not a squeak yet from the Land Registry!

(Having bought a freehold share some years ago, I decided to arrange for a new 999 year lease, as my old lease had only 40 years or so remaining and I felt this would put off potential buyers or at least delay the sale.

But maybe it was a mistake to include a new floor plan, with signatures by a pair of current directors of the freehold company (one being myself), because this may mean the registration has to be done by a more specialist team who locate the property on OS maps etc. I could have just left the floor plan, so the new lease relied on the plan in the old lease ("the chain" as the Land Registry calls it). But that seemed messy!

I am curious how long did the whole process take?

Cheers
