This house down the road from me has been empty now for over 18 mths, before that there was a lot of activity there with builders etc and they got the house looking really nice, it was up for sale after refurb but 2-3 mths the sign was taken down and house has been left ever since, i have no ideas apart from maybe there was a building reg not followed, anyone else know of empty houses just left to rot.

Theres a house near me , that I THOUGHT was empty for year .... it was the remains of a mini ground into the driveway and 5 smashed windows .... but its on one of the poshiest street in my area , so I thought it had to be empty .

So last summer I had abit of a nosy , ( because I knew it would be such a bargain ) and while peering over the wall ........ this SCARY ( oh soo scary) womans face popped out of these net curtains .

I thought id died.


So hopefully in afew years she'll be put in a mental home   ( I think shes a hourder ) and the house will be put to auction , so I can buy it

sorry badger it does kind of relate to houses being empty  

*gulps back rant on chronic failure of mental health services in this country*
