Well I know I wouldnt EVER . Because I like to do things myself .

However alot of people hate doing anything to there house or simply dont give a ...yeh

You see the thing is .

I dont live in the house im doing up , However my brother in law lives there at the weekend because hes in the army .... SO  he wants to make his bedroom his own .............. which is ok as Im making him do it simple . So thats fine

However he thinks its totally fine for me to explain to possiable buyers that I dont live in it , but my brother in law does .

So they would odvouisly realise that we had done it up ................and I really dont think Anyone would want to buy from me being so young and making a profit out of them .

I really do think it would put people off .

So I suggested to him , me and my partner should do the viewings and say its just us two that live there and its a wonderful little house blah blah and we love it .... but its to far away from work blah blah.
And not really mention that we have TOTALLY redone the whole house .

I really do believe it puts people off . I'm abit of a serial house viewer haha especially when I see a done up house for sale .
So last week I went to see a couples house ( propery developers) that didnt live there , and they where yabbering away about there past projects and showing me photos of how the kitchen would be , from past photos of other developments .
After I left I just thought it really does put you off , when someones made it  nice ... but not out of love of there house , but just for money .

ANYWAYS


So what do you all think . Which is the best way , to pretend ...and people go awww its a shame you need to sell  ? or to be truthful and run the risk of people being abit iffy ?

Basically, other peoples fortunes irritate you, and you don't want to make them any richer..haha Only messing.

I know what you mean, and I agree. If someone was gloating about being a property developer, I probably would be a little turned off from buying a property from them. And I'm guessing a lot of other people would be, too.

I think you should pretend to live there. Better to be safe than sorry.

Oh, and the only thing more annoying than rich property developers are YOUNG rich property developers!

Hey guys, if someone likes the place they will buy irrespective of who owns it or who has done it up.  There is nothing wrong with young sexy fun loving women trying to make a living out of buying and refrub then selling a house.  If it's done right and you have a professional attitude then I cannot see why anyone would be put of by you.

On another note you can tell if a house is being lived in or not, people when they are going to part with a huge sum of money will know if your place is lived in or not, just take a look at the small amount of dust on the door handles and the none existent small oil mark somewhere around the cooker/hob
I would spot a mile away if someone said they lived in a house and they didn't!

Badgey has a nose like a bloodhound. He can smell a lived in house a mile away.
