Hello, I'm an Italian guy currently living in France and about to relocate to London. I Will sell my flat in Paris and receive also a bank transfer from my dad who helps me buy a terraced house in east London. I'm a cash buyer. No money laundering involved, I'm Italian but not mafioso.

I didn't succeed in opening a UK bank account from France and know that when i move to London it may take a while to get one. If I find the right property for me and make an offer before having and English account, could I possibly transfer the money to my conveyancer from France? I could supply proof of my flat's sale and of my father's money transfer to me. I should came back to France to do the transfer but it's doable.

I'm still in France and don't have an English conveyancer/solicitor yet to ask that. I didn't even find advice on the internet. Could you help? Do you know what kind of payment a cash buyer from overseas make to his solicitor? Do you think the proof of the origin of my money is enough? Thanks in advance.

Unless there is a qualified conveyancer on here to answer your question I'd pick up the phone and actually phone one to ask.

I believe you will not be able to use a UK solicitor to Conveyance the property purchase without going through the appropriate checks to ensure the money is fully legal and not being laundered.

This could be done in advance of finding a property with the funds being transferred into the Solicitors client account pending the purchase of the property and giving time for the appropriate checks to be made.

I have a Kenyan Uncle who is fabulously wealthy, and needs to move some money to France, so if you could send me your account details, and your Pin, we could tie both deals up at the same time?????

Getting a UK bank acount is straight forward, as long as you have relevant proof of ID. Or you could get an international account.

Opening a UK account can be done same day with all major banks.
