Um toughy, i am lucky not to have traded in another language, i am sure if there is a common denominator such as house buying then it would be easier, its when you come down to the nitty gritty that i think most would struggle, such as boundry lines, drains etc etc, stuff that needs special attention.  You hear about so many people being had due to the fact they didnt understand the fine details of a development etc.  German i could get by, i do remember driving in Germany once and i entered a multi story car park, now in Germany you have to abide by there little rules they have, so i forgot to put my lights on even though it was midday and very light anyhow.  so this German woman stood infront of my car yelling at me, i just grinned and nudged past, it was when she came running up to me when i parked waving her arms around pointing at the lights and the sky and the car park i realised what she was going on about, god i love the Germans.
