You mean personally ? or the time of year  ?

I def think november/december are the best times to get a bargain .... unless you NEED to move .. then its only people looking for doer uppers, so you can be cheeky.

hmmm yes .

You can get a bargain any time .. but its how much of a bargain you can get . I think in summer its alot harder ... because people are having alot more viewings and can reject your offer knowing they will probably get another offer soon .

A wise man once told me that NOW is always the best time to buy property, as long as its long term it will make money, if you buy when slighly higher then less people buying, more people renting, = better yield. If you buy when low, lower yield but better appreciation  so the answer is always NOW

Hoppy, I read an article saying the exact same thing before creating this thread!

spooky - we must have the same mentor!!!
Thing is I look at these men and their wisdom, and they have good portfolios, nice lifestyle and serious wealth, and then look at the doom and gloom merchants and they dont exactly strike me as even comfartably off, which helps me decide who I choose to listen to ;D

Amen.

The thing is, so many people are so paranoid that they never end up doing anything with their money. Some of the people on HPC have been waiting for years to get onto the property ladder, but they keep waiting fo their antispated crash. 5 years later, no crash, and they still don't have any decent investments.

People end up waiting too long and miss out on the opportunities.
