 I have just seen the lease on my new property i am buying. the management company want me to get permission to keep a pet. NO PROBLEM. I asked if i could keep a 4 x 2 keter plastic storage shed for my mobility scooter on the common ground near my  patio door which gives me access to the grass,  It would keeps the communal areas clear  and save me from having to store the scooter in one of my bedrooms. the answer was NO, not on the development, with no reason. i will not give up yet, i am 70 years old ,

Why does the storage shed need to be as large as 4 x 2 metres for a mobility scooter that you are otherwise able to store in a bedroom?

Your battle with the management company would be eased (a little) if you did not require such a large structure.

EDIT:
Or are you talking 4 x 2 feet, which is barely larger than a mobility scooter.

Um... isn't Keter a brand of garden plastic storage?

Yes, I woke up and realised my mistake about 3am this morning. Strange what goes through your head in the early hours.

So, at a more acceptable time, I looked at Keter sheds and couldn't work out which one Murray Mints meant.  If the size is small, it helps the argument.

I've been wondering whether any provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 apply.

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1995/50/contents

For example: Section 22 Discrimination in relation to premises.

(1)It is unlawful for a person with power to dispose of any premises to discriminate against a disabled person—

(a)in the terms on which he offers to dispose of those premises to the disabled person;

(b)by refusing to dispose of those premises to the disabled person; or

(c)in his treatment of the disabled person in relation to any list of persons in need of premises of that description.

(3)It is unlawful for a person managing any premises to discriminate against a disabled person occupying those premises—

(a)in the way he permits the disabled person to make use of any benefits or facilities;

(b)by refusing or deliberately omitting to permit the disabled person to make use of any benefits or facilities;

It's worth reading the act Murray Mints and then maybe a visit to/call with Citizens Advice.
