Hi everyone. I am a tenant (of 7 and a half years) in a lovely house that I'm lucky to call home. Ive had the pleasure of an amazing landlord and letting agent. No complaints. Unfortunately though the bank won't renew my landlord's mortgage due to his age and he now has to sell by Feb 2018. They were lovely enough to give me over a month extra notice than stated in my contract. This means I'm out by the 27th Jan. In the meantime the property is up for sale . The estate agent who dealt with letting it are also selling ot and agree it is an excellent investment  (3 bedroom plus garden semi detached for 160,000) the landlord has indicated he'll sell for less if the right investor turns up. Apparently I'ma dream tenant (i was going to pay to have the carpets replaced next year). If an investor turned up I'm happy to negotiate an increase in rent. I don't want to leave at the moment. This is a wonderful place to live. Time is running out though. Anyone interested in a stress free Landlord position for a bargain?

You have given no indication as to the location of the property, nor the rent you are paying currently, nor the rent you would be willing to pay - therefore it is hard to judge the investment opportunity.

Buying a property for £160,000 and receiving £500 per month rent, for example, is not an attractive proposition. Buying a £130,000 property and receiving £1,000 per month is.

Good morning Savvyrose,
I am sorry about the situation.
Can you tell me a bit about the property, where it is etc.
