How is it stressful to let a property to a family with child?

Hi!
Can anyone reffer me to some information about an issue "Children in my property-to-let?" We write no smokers, no pets, no people on benefits, no non-uk residents :) on our ad. What about the children? It could be a nightmare to get rid of such families. But have a heart and no one will reply to my ad then! So please any information about this will be appreciated!

I think you have to be very carefull legally about not discriminatiing against people. You are seriously reducing your market!

I had children in my rental flat, and they drew all over the walls and furniture.  >:(  Obviously I kept most of their deposit when they moved out, but now have the hassle of repainting before I can let again.

I didn't put "no children" on my new ad, and agreed for several families to come and look round, but in the end chose a single guy with no children.  I haven't discriminated, just picked my tenant from those interested who I would prefer to live in my flat.  I realise that not all children would draw on the walls, but damage and hassle are bound to be increased with children there.

I guess I'm lucky that I had a few to pick from.
