Has anyone noticed that the jump from a flat to a terrace house is alot smaller these days .... or from a terrace to a semi-detached ? I could go on.

This seems one of the few good thing to come out of our 'Housing Crash' in my opinion.
If you are a family with a nice house that will sell in this market and you have abit in the bank, then its probably the ideal time to make the normally big jump to move up the ladder.

In the area I live your looking about £10,000 more to have a semi-detached rather than a terrace. Which is so frustrating for the people that cant afford that little bit more, but great for those who can.

Anyways im just wondering if anyone has noticed this and what bargains there are because ive seen about 2 houses now that id love to buy mainly because of the size of the property for the price. Its just a shame I cant afford to buy them :(.

I've not actually looked at the current difference between terrace and semi detacted or even completely detached during the current climate. I might have a fish around though :)

Feefee, you are right the margin is smaller, but the jump to get onto the real money houses is huge.  These guys at the top are just sitting on there properties cos they can, thus making the devide bigger.
Can you see a them and us thing happening here !
