TOP GEAR star Richard Hammond is moving into a plush £6million mansion in a town dubbed Britain's Beverly Hills.

He, wife Mindy and their two daughters have upped sticks from their six-bedroom rented manor house in Gloucestershire to set up home in swanky Beaconsfield, Bucks.

Richard – known as Hamster – will rub shoulders with local celebs including Cilla Black, Tess Daly, Vernon Kay, Des O'Connor and Barry Gibb.

Even the home that they will rent is said to have a celebrity past.

Locals claim it was once owned by film legend Dirk Bogarde.

Mindy, 37, told The Sun they decided to relocate so Richard could be nearer London for work.

I would never have guessed that he was on that much money. Crazy. Makes me wonder how much money Clarkson is raking in...

Big pay out from crash springs to mind, i wouldnt think he would be on millions from doing top gear, maybe wrong.

Hammond does a lot of other shows that I imagine brings in a lot of money as well. Not only TV, but he's always on the radio and he has columns in certain papers.

But you maybe right, he may have got a huge payout from his crash.
