According to this article on the telegraph, 3,000 homeowners are falling onto negative equity per day. Oops!

More than half a million households start the year living in a home worth less than the loan they took out to pay for it.

This number could surpass the 1.7m total reached in the early 1990s by the end of this year.

Is something i thought about last month, infact i had my place valued and it has come down in price 45k but its not in neg eq yet.  Not sure if it will do, we will see.

I'm not in negative equity, still have 30%+ in all 3 properties. Since all my mortgages are repayment, hopefully I won't hit negative. Fingers crossed!

45k down, ouch! That's harsh. Sorry to hear that.

I think now is the right time to start making overpayments while debt is cheap.

Um Over payment, that would mean i wouldnt have got a nice new pair of Paul Smith shoes the other day, as i brought them with the differance of one of the mortgage payments.  I have my eyes on some others as well, so an over payment at the mo is no where in sight 

45k dont seem to bad if you dont look at it lol.  Fag to be honest, its only the 45k that the house was over priced at anyway, so i aint bothered to much.
