Nestoria has cleverly linked its live search data to a Mapping platform. You can sit back and watch what's being searched, live. Very big brother'ry, if you ask me.

It's fun for 5mins, but after that...what's the point? Nice use of technology, though.

Interesting, while i watched there was a lot of activity in Scoitland

propertyfag

haha I noticed the same thing.

Do you think people are considering Scotland to be a worthy investment?

propertyfag

You can see a massive jump in prices when someone looks at property in the South of England and then someone else looks up North...

Badger

Well property is cheap if you stay away from the cities, i thought about Scotland a few years ago, but you would have to be self  contained as wages aint no good.  A good place for a rental maybe !

Its interesting actually to see that most of the searches are for "big ticket" homes ... so there's clearly buyers out there.

Time to phone the estate agent marketing my gran's place I think!!!!!

What the hell is going on with that, V?

Are your agents actually any good? Sounds like it's been on the market for ages! You need to start being snappy with them, like you have been on here, recently :)

vwilson

There's two agents, we've just removed one and engaged a national one to replace them because they weren't doing anything (which hopefully should send a healthy message to the other one too).

I know someone who's been trying to sell their house in Nottingham for about the same period of time, too. Market is just dead atm. HIPS plus Northern Rock plus everyone now being convinced by the media that there's about to be a "crash" where they can get an even better "bargain", so they won't put their hand in their pocket .... plus mortgage lenders advising against and hiking up their rates.

People buy faster when they think the market is running away from them, but they stop when they think waiting will get them a better deal.

FOOLS.

I'm going to recommend letting it out if it doesn't shift soon. We probably should've done that already.

V have you got any pics of the house in question and put um in pimp my gaff !

Nottingham is a popular city. Very trendy for young professionals.

You'd definately have no problem renting there. Two huge Universities!
