 ???
Hey, I'm planning on selling my property shorty, which would require a HIP :( Although, some of my collegues have mentioned a company who are able to avoid this issue but, I can't for the life of me remember the companies name!!  Anyone know who i'm referring to....and does anyone has anymore info on this??

Dollyro

Well don;t know if I should answer this one being as you've called me shorty!!!
lol   ;D

I'm not sure about the company you mean though...are you sure they weren;t pulling your leg though?  I'm sure the government would be pretty water tight on loopholes for the Hips after all the recent hoohah with them!

Maybe Im wrong...?  Anyone?
:-)

Hi Jayne and welcome.
HIPS aaahhghgggggg, i dont think you can get away with them im afraid as its a government requirment and anyone doing otherwise would be breaking somefink im sure.  My good bud pfag will be along soom im sure, maybe he will know some more.

Here's a guide on HIP:

http://www.propertyinvestmentproject.co.uk/blog/2007/03/27/home-information-pack-quick-guide/

I'm not aware of ways you can avoid getting a HIP, since selling your home without one will lead to a fine of £200 per day. But there are ways in which you can reduce the cost of a HIP...

Ooops, i forgot to welcome you to the forum! Welcome!

And out of curiosity, what exactly do you mean, when you're referring to "company who are able to avoid this issue"?

It sounds like you're saying that a 3rd party company will get you through the process of selling a home without a HIP? Is that right?

:)

New news,
Its on houses that are 4 bedded and over as of today, but the government want it on all very soon, just what i heard and not varified as yet.
That is how i read it as well that there is a company who could, but to be honest if you got nothing to hide then why not just get it done.
As for time it is only going to be an extra week, and as for the money, its a max of 1k.  I am sure we will all find away to get that 1k back.  It was only ever going to be the seller that forked up the initial cash for it and then when they sell get it back on the sale of the house.
I wouldnt buy a house now without a HIP.

The companies the original post referred to are, "We will buy your home for cash NOW" types.  Rather than offering your property to the open market you can approach a 'property company'.  They claim that because there is no formal marketing there is no requirement for a HIP.  The downside?  They only offer up to 90% of MV (max).

There are now enough DEA's to easily accommodate 3 bed homes.  Expect them to come in by September (the government has to give at least 3 weeks notice).

The cost? My company are selling full packs to the public from £329 inc VAT.  No the £1000 that has been widely (and falsely) reported by our 'respected' tabloids.  Is a 10% drop not worth £329?

Badger

Thx Mountie for your imput,l valid advice.
Welcome by the way.

Hi Jayne - welcome to the forum :) Right, well I'm from Leeds in West Yorkshire and I've heard about a company based over near Wakefield - they're called Home Finder UK I believe. I think they're managing to get around this HiPs stuff but I'm not 100% how - perhaps worth you looking into it? I've just done a quick search on Google for you and their website seems to be http://www.homefinderuk.com - does that sound familiar?

Not that I am suggesting that you do anything illegal :-)
