Love this site, found it by accident and it's now one of my favourites! Anyway the reason I'm posting is because there seems to be a fair few people who know what they're doing.

My story is I've fallen into being a landlord, but now am enjoying it and would like to take it to the next level. I have 3 properties which i rent to DSS tenants, all reliable, never had any problems. I have saved up £120k and would like to invest in one or two more properties. But I don't know where to start, do I look for auctions, do i pop into an estate agents and ask their advice (surely not). I have a job so it's not like i need to make a fortune every month but I'm looking for houses that need doing up, as I'm a builder by trade. But it seems that the houses with most scope for profit are bought before they make it onto rightmove etc.

anyway, i hope this is correct forum protocol, i'm sorry if i've broken any rules!
