what do you know about crossover leases?

There isn't much about online about crossover leases. In fact, when you google "crossover lease" my site appears as top. And that's only because someone briefly mentioned it in an article.

I've noticed that a few people have been searching for that keyterm and landing on my site; but they're not getting any useful info on crossover leases.

All I know is that when you have a property with 2 flats, the leaseholder in 1 flat owns the freehold for other and vice versa. Does anyone know any other details?
