Ahh i love it when a plan comes together.
My tenant phoned up two weeks ago in a panic, the bathroom d glazed opening top window had smashed.  So i went round and taped it up to make safe till a glazzier could come and look.
Anyway it was the inside glass sheet that had concaved, when i asked what had happened she said, she was down stairs and she heard a huge bang, when she went up the glass had broke.

I thought ok, a compressed glass window could do this, maybe condensation had got in and contracted with the weather and blew, no problem
Anyway today i went and paid for the new window 100 quid, and the guy said to me, that was some angry fit to have broke that.  I was puzzeled and quizzed him.  He said he has been in the trade for 40 years and has replaced 1000s of windows, double glazed units with the same problem as i had infact,  He said glass doesnt break on its own, unless it is toughend glass, which it wasnt.  And the answer was human error, he said more likely a punch on the glass to open a stuck window or a projectlie.

The question is now, i have been lied to and i dont fukcin like it.  :-[

Comments please.

You've been lied to 100%.

No way will double glazing window contract like that and just shatter to pieces. And even if that did happen, what are the odds of BOTH glass panels shattering together due to contraction?

B, you need to handle your business and bitch slap your tenant until she spits out the truth.

You with me, Bruv'?

lol awwww badgy, the issues you've got to deal with ... tsk tsk.

I suggest you raise the rent by 50 quid just for the fact she lied to you.

That'll teach her a valuble lesson
