Hi you legal types. I have a tenant and am drafting a new tenancy agreement for her to sign, as the old one is outdated and I need to include a couple of things. I'm trying to draft the rent part of it. We have agreed the rent to be £650 per month, however she pays her part weekly, on a Friday, and the council pays the remainder on their own schedule. It works but is a bit of a nightmare logistically for the purposes of the AST, Would this be the best way to phrase it?


"1.7 Rent
1.7.1 The Rent shall be £650 per calendar month (£150 weekly), payable in advance
1.7.2 The rent shall be paid clear of unreasonable or unlawful deductions.
1.7.3 The rent shall be paid by the Tenant on each Friday, at a sum of £100, with the remainder being made up by Shepway Council."
