HELP SOMEONE PLEASE. our tenants gave a months notice , moved out early took all their stuff and gave the keys back. Dispute over damages so gave them 10 days to come and sort it, looking at 5 hours manual work and about £50,00 to £100 in costs. So we changed the locks on day 10.  Today they threatened us to break in ( kept all abusive voice mails) police were called, they told them its  a civil matter and if they break in they will be charged. We no longer want to give them the option of putting it right, but just received another voice mail that says, he( the tenant)  has a right to decide how the damage is repaired ?

You have the right to offer them the chance to put right, and they have the right to do it.

Assuming there deposit is still held, claim for the costs of putting it right. It's then there problem.

As far as the work, get it done, then they cant do it!

Don't be bullied by them, stand up for yourself, tell then to get FffFFFFff.....real.
