Hello all
My tenant wants to dispute a quote I got to fix some damage on the property, to be taken from his deposit.
If he goes ahead with the dispute can I fix the damage for the new tenants or must I leave the "evidence", until the independent party from the deposit decides on the case?

Not been through it, but Id imagine they'd use evidence rather than inspection. A before, after, quote, then another after the work has been done should be good evidence.

I've just been thro the dispute process so can advise based on my experience.  Tenant had 3 months to raise the dispute so left it until last day to raise it, and deposit money was released about a month later!  Based on this time frame I would just get the works done ASAP particularly if you have a new tenant lined up.  Just ensure you have plenty of dated photographic evidence to submit alongside your quote.
