I recently bought a house and a number of weeks later british gas entered the property without my consent, they picked the lock and removed the electric meter, when  i telephoned them to complain, they said there was a debt on the meter but it was not my debt as i was the new owner and they did not check to see who the new owner was before entering. I would appreciate some advice with regard to my rights and the best plan of action
