Hello everyone, a management company own the lease to the land where my flat is and I pay them £180 a year for the privilege I guess. I've been renting my flat out for two years and it never crossed my mind I would have to inform them. Well somehow they have found out and now want me to complete an application form and give them £210.00 for doing so. If my tenants enter into a renewal agreement, I have to give this management another £60.00 and if I should find new tenants, a further £120.00 for every new tenant. Even though I own my flat, I feel like I've having to ask permission and also it's a licence to print money. Is there anything I can do or will I just end up paying it.

Thanks in advance for any help

If it's in your Lease you pay it. Have you read your Lease?

I brought the flat 10 years ago, I haven't got a Lease in my documents and can't remember signing such thing. So I shall be emailing to ask to show me such thing. If I've signed then I shall pay as I have no choice.

If it's a leasehold property, you've definitely got a Lease. Check what your Conveyancer has.
