Agency refusing to transfer deposit

I am a landlord and rent out a property direct with a tenant, after the first year was with an agency which ended at the end of April.

I am now struggling to get the deposit back from the agency for the tenant, even though our agreement has ended nearly 4 weeks ago.  I have sent them my DPS landlord reference, the property individual reference which is waiting to receive the deposit and the account details for my DPS account.

They state they do not send direct to my personal bank account, even though I sent these details.

Even with all this information and copy/paste of certain information they are refusing to send me the deposit, stating they want actual screen shots - my computer isn't doing this so I am stuck!

I rent out a second property and the agency was different, sending me the money straight away to my renting bank account, in my name.

Are they allowed to hold the money back like this?
Is this normal procedure for an agency?

No, but why can't you take a screenshot for them... that seems the easiest solution and I'm confused why you aren't able to.

I have tried, but it doesn't seem to want to paste.

Save the screenshot as a file and attach it to the email you want to send.

What are you pressing to take a screenshot ?

Assuming you are using a Windows PC/Laptop :

Press the PrintScreen button
Run Paint
Press Control-V
Press Save
