With out going on what went wrong even before the tenancy started, my T wants to move out of the contract on the next day he checked in.

I am emotionally tired with the process of finding this T and getting all done for the tenancy. Just heard from the agent that T wants to leave on the day after checkin. Reason given was T doesn't like me managing my property. T also said he gets a feeling that I would ask him to move out when the tenancy agreement ends in 12 months. Also he gets a feeling that I want to go back to my property.

Although the agent sounds he told that LL can't be at loss for this, I just want to check with you people have you faced any situation like this before?

I am not expecting to hold T who doesn't want to stay. Agents says that I cannot be at financial loss and T verbally agreed to this. What can I do here. Please advise.

I'd just let them go.

I would try to obtain agreement they pay for your re-letting costs. If they fight it tooth-and-nail then I'd let them go... best to get them out. Don't contemplate what damage they could do if left there.

Totally agree ! I have to treat it as a bad experience and move on.

I have had a few similar issues, but different reasons (got back with husband, missed parents, lost job) Never quite this early on though. In all cases I agreed to remarket the tenancy, with the tenant responsible for the fees for reletting, and all rent and council tax until a new lease signed.Without knowing the situation, assuming the tenant is not truly mad, they are acting against their own best interests. This would make me wonder if they have some reasonable cause to withdraw so quickly. It might be worth having the agent manage the property for a time,to give you some respite and detachment,a chance to look again at your own options.
