I rent out a property in the South West. It's a town centre property and consists of a retail premises and a two bedroom flat.
I have been letting this out myself for about four years and have no specific problems with tenants.

I have been scouring the internet to make sure I was up to date with current legislation, before taking on another property to let out. My local authority recommends membership of either the NLA or the RLA and on first glance they appear to be a useful source of information and practical support.

I wondered if anyone would be able to comment on whether membership was valuable or if one was preferable to the other. Neither of them give support for commercial lets and I can't find an equivalent or an Association that covers both residential and commercial; is there such an organisation.
