Hi,

Can anyone please advise - I have a tenant who has left the property (it's a house share) and is not responding to us or our agent.  She signed a six month AST from 30th Jan this year and paid 1st months rent but no deposit and nothing else since.  To start a County Court Claim, can I do it for the rent owed up to now or do I have to wait for the tenancy to expire then do it for the full six months?  I would prefer to start the proceedings now and just try to get her to pay for March and April but not sure if I have to serve a Section 8 etc first.  Can anyone help?  Thanks.
