Hi there.
I was just seeing if anyone has had any dealings with specific tenant referencing services.
Online or a particular company that they have used and are happy with.

I have seen a couple on the internet but don't know how good or bad they are so was just wondering if anyone can put one forward they are happy with.

Thanks again guys.

I used tenant verify last time, they're pretty much of a muchness checking the same things I think.  I also use my gut, nose and waters when doing viewings.  I've had prospective tenants give me access to their noddle report before now to save unnecessary referencing that is doomed to fail.

Hi Riptide.
Thanks for your advice. I have had a look at tenant verify and that is one that I haven't come across before in my searches. So thank you so much for that recommendation.

What service did you use? The basic, comprehensive or fast comprehensive.

And was it a good thorough service?

So many questions - so little memory!

I've just checked my emails and had the T pay £30.55 - Can't remember the report exactly but I must have been happy to proceed with them.

Thanks for looking for me.
yeah that's the middle one. The comprehensive one.

Sounds good to me. I would rather go with someone that a landlord has used before than picking one off the internet. Its such a learning curve.

Thanks again Riptide.

Hi Paula,

I'm not sure where you're based but RentSquare so a great ref checking service with flat fees.

There's a flat fee for the service (£45 for a background check to the tenant) There's also a great matching service of the tenant to the property.

Here's the facebook group that highlights properties to rent

Bugsy

We have used
https://www.openrent.co.uk
For all our properties. Great system, truly amazing.
They post the property on all the usual portals and handle all the referencing and contracts and guarantors.

We manage 5 properties and it's worked flawlessly.

I know its an old post but thank you so much for you continued input on it.

I have now used homelet and tenant verify for referencing tenants.
Both have been good. Although you really don't get much for your money.  A one page document but I think that is pretty standard.
