hello all I'm new to this forum so please bear with me if I make any mistakes!

My local council wants to introduce selective licensing in parts of our town where I have property.
Their choice of area seems strange as most of it is quite respectable.

We have a voluntary assessment scheme of which I was a member and all my properties were assessed and passed under the scheme, the
council no longer seems to support this scheme.

The selective licensing scheme is quite onerous on landlords, it seems we are not only responsible for the quality of the housing ( quite reasonable)
but also for the behaviour of our tenants and other occupants. In effect we will be the police!

It will be interesting to read the views and experiences that any 'forumites', here, may have had.

I will be particularly interested to hear from other  landlords in my area ( Pendle) in order that we can make a common case against this scheme.
