What you say is untrue.  If there is no contractual agreement between you then they are not your tenants.  Do you mean the agreement is not written down?

If you can provide a fuller back-story then we can help.  I'm paricularly interested in how you have all this arranged six months in advance.  And why do you want to issue the notice anyway?
