Hi all

Wondered if anyone uses some form of remote signing tool to sign tenancy agreements etc.

I have often wondered if it was feasible for a small landlord such as me with a few properties.

More brought on that a guarantor for a recent tenant lives about 400 miles away.

Wondered if any uses and if so what mechanism you would recommend .

Many thanks for aby help, advice and your time.

kind regardsraegrds

A guarantor agreement should be a deed, and I don't see how a deed can be signed remotely online, because it needs to be witnessed. So that's one I'd send by post and ask them to get a solicitor to witness it (whether that's practical or not is another thing, but a remote guarantor is useless otherwise).

Tenancy agreement is something the tenant would sign in front of me (although witness by a solicitor would do for that too).

Openrent have the infrastructure for online documentation, but it's currently quite a lot for a landlord. Have a look at docusign, which I've used for other things, but would support a tenancy agreement easily enough if you have a techie head.

Just wondered if there is a standard Guarantor's Agreement which I could download from 'somewhere'!

Many thanks
