Time limit to inform/initiate repayment of deposit through DPS.
My tenant has moved out and is all payed up but I want to deduct from his deposit the cost of cleaning the ceilings which are heavily covered in mould. First time this has ever happened. Obviously drying clothes without the windows open.
What is the time limit after the end of the tenancy do I have to inform him how much I will be deducting. At the moment I am still waiting for the quote from the  painter as to how much this will be, but he does know there will be a deduction.
I am using the DPS and I cannot find this information on their website.
