Hi,

Newbie here looking for advice, please.  My sole rental property is let out to a single parent, who is now wanting to move their long term partner in to the property.

Can anybody advise what I need to do to protect my legal position?  I have agreed in principle, but advised that a contract would need to be modified to suit, but need to know for sure what I need to do.

I would expect the partner to undergo the same checks as your tenant,and then get added to the contract.It is good that they have asked you about this and not just gone ahead.
