So I have new tenants to my flat. One of them is a mature student that also works. Her portion of the rent is being paid by a trust. The trust wants me to invoice her so they can then pay her the rent (and she pays it to me).
Shall I give her an invoice? Will I have any legal / tax implications down the line because of it? Would you know?

Unless you're somehow planning a tax dodge, then it shouldn't affect you... it's still just income from property for you. I provide all my Tenants with a receipt and one asks for an annual statement. It's no matter to me as the Landlord. I let property, I receive rent, I have expenses, I do self-assessment for tax. Additional paperwork isn't going to affect any of that.
