Hi I'm new,

My tenant has lived in our rental property for a few years now, it's a nice 2 bedroom Victorian terrace, she said to me yesterday she heard scuttling in the loft and suspects mice, this would be a recent thing nothing ongoing- my question is whose responsibility is it to have them removed, mine or hers?

With the info you have provided.  it would be the tenants responsibility.

Though.  If its in the loft, its more likely to be squirrels than mice.

The upshot is, Its your home/investment property so you want your investment to be looked after, you should either be kept up to date with what progress is being made, or, and the path I would take, is to assume control to get this investigated/sorted and explain to the tenants that whilst it is technically their responsibility you are willing to go halves on the pest control with them - you cant get fairer then that.
