Hi, tenant has asked for an EV charger. I can't claim the Gov discount as I don't qualify (you have to be a Ltd or VAT registered). I can't claim cost for charger on annual self assessment, as it's a capital expense. Tenant has said she is eligible for a grant. So, if I pay the balance, who would own it? Also, when she leaves does it go with her? Has anyone else come up against this? Any advice?

This sounds too much like hard work for me.I would politely refuse the request,unless she has lived there for a long time and intends remaining for the foreseeable future.
