Hi all,
Ok I live in Australia and own a property in the UK which is rented out, last December 2013 , out of the blue I received an email from the managing estate agent Blacks Lettings  (Liverpool), who stated that as of 31st December 2013 they would no longer be managing the property and Logic Estates (also of Liverpool)  would be!

Anyway I eventually received an email from Logic introducing themselves and saying everything would run smooth during the takeover process, I even received an email about two weeks ago infirming that the tenant had paidf the rent in and what was the accoount details! ,

I replied that I would have thought that all relevant information such as this woiuld have been included in the transfer process but also inclided the relevant bank account details etc, again another email came back regards the NRL 1 approval, this was duly dispatched but after two weeks still no rent paid in nor any acknowledgement to my questions to them regards tenant rental bond holding , and a reminder to the teannat to pay the rent on the contractually stipulated day.

In the past week I have written twice to Logic estates and received no reply only a computer generated email to inform me that Logic Estates had just won a national prize for good work!

I have written to the Property Ombudsman earlier this week as I have a bad feeling about the way this takeover deal has been done , the fact that I was not consulted if I wished to use Logic estates, and the fact that none of my emails are being replied to! , I also tried calling them yesterday and only got through to an answering machine were I left a message requesting them to please reply to my emails.

Can anyone offer any advice what the next step to be is , the next rent for January to February is due to be paid in today but as I say Logic Estates despite receiving last months rent haven't paid that to my bank account !

Do I contact the property ombudsman again?

Sounds like it could have been a scam with one closing, another non existent one opening and someone keeping your money.  I did a google, made a call and got through to them.  I called 0151 920 2404.

Thanks Bob, only took a second but that's what I'm like, no doubt repaid by no further addition to this thread!!
