I am hoping to become a LL in the not too distant future. I am in the process of doing research(!) If a married couple were interested in renting from me, would I need to pay for 2 separate credit checks on both husband and wife? Would this make any difference if the wife did not work? Any useful information on this subject is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Its your choice.

You have to base your choice on the people, your attitude to risk, costs, and the availability of tenants willing to pay the rent you ask.

Some say they are useful, others not worth the paper they are written on.
