Hi all.

We previously used an agent to fully manage our property, however, we were always the ones arranging contractors etc.  So at the end of the day, what the heck was I paying them for!

How hard is it to fully manage a property myself?  Or should I stick to the easy waste of money route?

How far from the property are you?

We are in the USA but the property is in the UK......so a fair bit of distance!

How much do you pay them and what do they actually do? You need to weigh the two up and make a decision.

Distance is the only reason I would ever contemplate using an Agent. I hold a very dim view of them through personal experience.

I have yet to encounter a good one... read into "good" what you will.

Anyway...

You seem to have a distance problem, to me, that means a good Agent might be worth the fees. But it sounds like you should sack your current Agent.
