New Tenant wants access while it is still Occupied?

Hi! In need of other points of view or advice. Our current tenants move out in 1.5 weeks. The new tenant insists on having a blinds company come measure for the speciality blinds before she moves in as she says it is for her safety. The current tenant hates house showing and I frankly don't feel like as the owner I have the right or the desire to coordinate a time for a blind company to come measure the home while it is currently occupied. I feel that it is still her home but the new tenant says she should have a right to measure for furniture, curtains, etc.

What to do, what to do.... Any advice or similar experiences?

Thanks!

Don't allow it.

I once had some Tenants want to move "a few boxes in" to an unoccupied property... and I refused, solely on the principle of it - the tenancy simply has not begun yet. After the tenancy begins they can do whatever they like. This is not something you should feel embarrassed about or feel you need to justify in any way. The incoming Tenant has no rights to do what they believe. What right do they think they're quoting?

Oh dear, this would make my heart sink. The current tenant has a right to their privacy until they move out,so obviously refuse this request.I think you need to start as you mean to finish with this lady, otherwise she will be a total pain methinks.
