Hi, how can I be taxed on interest paid to bank on btl mortgage, how is this justified  ?

Oh yes we are not paying tax yet but in 2017 (I think) Mr Osborne has decided to tax landlords on interest paid on mortgages, any info is appreciated.

It's the government.  They don't justify things.

Landlords are rich and easy pickings.  Pick off the rich give to the poor.
