Hi, I was told by someone a while ago, that leaving the web address for the right to rent booklet on the tenancy agreement is an acceptable form of providing that information. is this correct?

Told by who? A Solicitor specialising in property law or a bloke you met in the pub? Just do it properly and you will have zero concerns.

Yeah, unless they're a landlord law solicitor, ignore them.

Send a digital copy via email (so there's a digital footprint, and get them reply with acknowledgement of receipt), or a hard copy in person, and get them to a sign document saying they have received it.

I've kinda messed up here. They don't have an email address despite having broadband internet at the property!?
I handed it by hand when I went round to see them, but I didn't get a signature of receipt. They are not the type that would sign anything anyways. (out of shear laziness and childish ignorance that is).

I think the best course of action is to send 2 copies in the post. That way it does not require any use of a pen from thier side.

(It really is that bad). Fortunately I haven't even raised my voice with them... yet...
