Guys - I'd appreciate your thoughts on Rent & Legal Protection.

Today I received my October statement from my agent and see they've deducted about £24 for this. Anyone have any thoughts? Is this a regular thing? Anyone have it? Is it a good thing or simply another fee for the agents to stick us with?

No one should be able to deduct fees you haven't agreed to - good idea or not.

That's true and I'm sure they'd return it if I asked them. I recall they did send an email some months ago telling us all about it and saying that we'd be automatically enrolled and would receive the first 30 days free then have 2 months discounted.

Anyway I was hoping someone had experience to these things and whether they were worth it. I have let a property for 25+ years and never had a problem with a tenant not paying. A couple have been less than careful looking after the place but overall my customers have been reasonable and pay on time.
