We have a shop let out, the tennant has told us of signs of rats today
There are other fast food outlets near by.
Is it the landlords responsibility?

Commercial properties are usually let out long term basis on a full repairing lease.
Is that the case?
If so then not your issue so long as the vermin were not present when you leased the property?
