Hi everyone
I am new to this forum so bear with me please! I have good tenants in my property, they have been there for over a year and as the TSA has not been renewed we are now on a rolling agreement. The tennants want to stay, I would like the tennants to stay however I have an ongoing dispute with the agents. The tennants pay their rent direct to the agent who then, naturally take their cut. I want to end the agreement with the agent and manage the property myself as I am in dispute with them they are making things very very obstructive. My only option seems to be to evict the tennants thereby ending my agreement with the agent. I have asked the tennant to pay the rent directly with me whilst the dispute is ongoing however they are refusing to do this as they are worried that there may consequenses.
I guess my quesion is , what can the agent do to the tennant if they pay direct me?

Thank you!

Amanda

Do you have a written agreement with the agent. If so send them notice terminating the agreement.
Download an AST from a place like NLA if you don't have your own and get your tenant to sign the new agreement with you as landlord.
The agent cannot evict the tenants because they are just agents. There can be no consequence for the tenant as their original tenancy has expired and gone periodical. Tell, don't ask the tenant to cancel the rent payments to the agent and pay you. Give the tenant your bank details when you sign the new agreement.
Remember, its your house, you do what you want with it. If you want to manage it, thats up to you.

You don't lease a car and drive where they tell you. Put your food down.
