Hi there
First time I have ever put a blog on and pretty new to being a Landlord. My tenant moved in last October and is basically the perfect tenant. I did have a Letting Agent but have mutually agreed to part company due to issues I had with them. The 6 month AST reverted to a statutory and from 1st Aug I will be managing the letting myself, my questions are: Can I still use the AST Agreement the Letting Agent supplied? I have bought one from this website but haven't done anything with it yet. I have written a letter to the tenant detailing the change in management and new bank details etc but he has asked if he can move his girlfriend in sometime next month who also has a child which isn't his by the way. any advice on this would be gratefully received.

If you are happy for the tenancy to be a periodic tenancy then the original tenancy agreement still applies but there is much to be said for getting a new tenancy agreement signed.  It gets tenant committed for another fixed term.  And gives you opportunity to review rent.
