Short accurate article re benefit caps and the effect on Housing Benefit.

https://medium.com/bull-market/the-overall-benefit-cap-a-little-time-bomb-under-uk-buy-to-let-housing-9575030792d3

I'd bet my last dollar the cap will with pushed down this upcoming budget July, in fact I'd guess it will be cranked down every year.

I've experienced this first hand in Liverpool with large families, if it the cap is reduced then regular families will be targetted.

Don't have HB tenants and think you wont be affected.... think again.... the level of rent even in private accommodation is often set by hb levels, so even if you don't have direct hb tenants the effect of reduced support of rent could well affect your rents....

Its a car crash waiting to happen.

But what happened to the punch bowl?
Government took it. Party over, no more housing benefit proping up house prices.

Oh, another Leftie moaning about the election result. Get over it. They won according to the rules. It's not like they didn't get any votes.

I agree, leftie crap.

Why not look at the facts.

The cap is moving from £25k to £23k.

That's £40 a week per household. ish.

Do you think this will be deducted from the Housing Benefit first? Rather than the money they get to spend on Baccy and Cider????

Yes you do, as you've said this will bring an end to buy to let and the housing crisis.... TWAT>
